End-of-life care program to debut at Canterbury

Family Hospice and Palliative Care and Canterbury Place, a senior living community that is part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, are joining forces to improve end-of-life care with a new program called Comfort Care.

Comfort Care will be delivered by a combined team of trained individuals with an expertise in a holistic approach to end-of-life care.

Family Hospice and Palliative Care staff will augment the staff at Canterbury to provide pain management consultation, nursing and home health aide services, counseling, spiritual care, volunteer support, massage and art therapies and bereavement follow up.

The program will begin at Canterbury Place this summer. For more information, call 412/622-9000 or 412/572-8480.
