Pitt’s Career Services and Alumni Association (PAA) will launch Pitt Career Network, a free on-line web site providing networking services for those seeking career contacts, advice and insight. The site is scheduled to be available by the fall term.

Pitt alumni interested in becoming contacts can enter professional information in an on-line profile using their registered alumni on-line services ID and password. Once the profile list is constructed, students and alumni will be able to customize searches of the profiles based on each or all of the following fields: industry, job function, metro area, job title, volunteer activities, employer name and others.

The networking site has been in development since last fall and resulted from a survey distributed by the Pitt Alumni Association. According to the survey, Pitt alumni of all ages rate identifying job opportunities for graduates as the most important issue in which alumni should be involved.
