Beginning at 10 a.m. today, June 9, Bates Street traffic is expected to experience intermittent delays until 3 p.m. when Bates Street will be closed to traffic in both directions between the intersection of Bates-Second Avenue and Bates-Glenwood ramp (376-West off-ramp) to accommodate bridge beam work on the Eliza Furnace Trail Bridge.

Detour routes are:

• South detour: Boulevard of the Allies to 376 West; exit 71A Grant Street; right onto First Avenue; right onto Second Avenue.

• North detour: Hot Metal Bridge; right onto Carson Street; right onto Birmingham Bridge; right onto Forbes Avenue; right onto Boulevard of the Allies.

• West off-ramp/south detour: 376 West; exit 71A Grant Street; right onto First Avenue; right onto Second Avenue.

Normal traffic flow is expected to resume at 6 a.m. June 10.
