Baranger nominations sought
Nominations are being sought for the 2012 Elizabeth Baranger Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching. The award, created by the Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Organization, honors outstanding graduate teachers in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. It is named for Baranger, former vice provost for Graduate Studies.
To be eligible, an instructor must have been enrolled as a graduate student and taught a class in any term of the previous calendar year (2011). Winners are expected to be announced in April.
Online nominations are due by 5 p.m. Feb. 1. The nomination form is available at http://asgso.pitt.edu/teachingAward.html.
