Senate Council meeting canceled

This month’s Senate Council meeting, scheduled for Oct. 17, has been canceled. University Senate President Irene Frieze announced the cancellation at last week’s Faculty Assembly meeting.

The meeting had already been re-scheduled from Oct. 10, due to Chancellor Mark Nordenberg’s schedule, Frieze said. “The chancellor would also have to leave early on Oct. 17. There is not a large window of time between then and our next meeting. I also sent out a request for agenda items and I didn’t get any replies, so I’d like to cancel the Oct. 17 meeting.”

Senate Council, which ordinarily meets monthly, will meet next on Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. in 2700 Posvar Hall.

Faculty Assembly next meets Nov. 1, also at 3 p.m. in 2700 Posvar Hall.
