Law school honors Barcos
Bronze busts sculpted in honor of George J. Barco, Pitt law school class of 1934 and his daughter, Yolanda G. Barco, Pitt law class of 1949, were dedicated at a reception last month, in the Barco Law Library, on the fourth floor of the Law Building.
Pitt's law school and the Barco-Duratz Foundation sponsored the event.
In 1986, George J. Barco and his daughter Yolanda created the George J. Barco and Yolanda G. Barco Permanent Endowment for Enhancement of the Law Library. The endowment provides funds to maintain excellence in law library services by responding to the teaching and research missions of the law school and providing a continuing learning resource for law practitioners.
