Pitt moves up in QS rankings
Pitt placed 98th among all universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2012, a ranking of the world’s top 700 universities by Quacquarelli Symonds. Pitt was 116th last year.
Pitt was 30th among all U.S. universities and 12th among U.S. public universities.
Quacquarelli Symonds provides educational and career information and networking opportunities. Its rankings are based on the opinions of 70,000 active academics and graduate recruiters, in addition to quantitative data on research impact, staff and student numbers, and the universities’ levels of internationalization.
