Children’s Hospital Orientation

Thursday, Feb. 9, noon-1 pm

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh needs volunteers in a number of capacities — everything from patient escorts to reading to children during the late afternoon and early evening. Attend this on-campus session to learn how you can help the kids at Children’s.

Child Legal Advocate Orientation

Wednesday, Feb. 15, noon-1 pm

The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program needs volunteers to serve as advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children in Allegheny County. Learn about the program at this on-campus session.

Global Links Medical Supplies

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 5:30-7:30 pm

Volunteers will be working at the Bloomfield office of Global Links, an aid organization that collects and repackages surplus medical supplies for distribution worldwide.

West Oakland Tutoring Orientation

Thursday, Feb. 23, noon-1 pm

Volunteers are needed to assist with after-school and adult tutoring, computer training and GED exam preparation at Breachmenders, just a couple of blocks from campus. The orientation will be held on campus.

PATF Theater Fundraiser

Wednesday, March 1, 5:30-8:30 pm

The Pittsburgh Public Theater is joining forces with the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force for this 20th annual fundraiser Downtown. Volunteers will help with the pre-performance cocktail party.

Science Fair Awards Ceremony

Saturday, April 1, 8:30-10:30 am

Volunteers will be working at Heinz Field to assist the Carnegie Science Center with the Science Fair awards ceremony.
