Transportation fair planned

The Oakland Transportation Management Association will host a transportation fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 26 in University Club Ballroom A.

Representatives of local institutions including Pitt, Carlow University, Carnegie Mellon and UPMC; city and state planning agencies, and regional transportation and land-use policy leaders will be on hand to provide information on transportation initiatives that affect Oakland.

Among the exhibitors scheduled are the City of Pittsburgh planning department and public works department, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Sustainable Pittsburgh, Bike Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Regional Clean Cities, Pittsburgh Parking Authority, the Oakland Business Improvement District, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, the Port Authority of Allegheny County, Traffic 21, Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, PennDOT, 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania and ZipCar.
