* Pittsburgh Marathon Finish Line

Sunday, May 7, 8 am-1 pm

Pitt volunteers once again will staff the Point State Park finish line.

* Oakland Floral Bed Planting

Saturday, May 11, 9-11 am

Volunteers will plan a flower bed on public property near the University as part of this project sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.

* Breachmenders Anniversary Dinner

Friday, May 12, 5:30-7:30 pm

Volunteers will be assisting with the on-campus 20th anniversary dinner and silent auction to benefit Breachmenders, a community development organization serving West Oakland.

* Foster Cat Program Orientation

Wednesday, May 17, noon-1 pm

Foster Cat, a new Pittsburgh organization designed to place unwanted cats in foster homes, needs volunteers to assist with admissions, screening, adoption counseling and follow-up. The orientation will be at an on-campus location.

* Pittsburgh Children’s Festival

Sunday, May 21, 11 am-2:30 pm or 2-5 pm

Volunteers will serve as ushers, ticket-takers and in food service, as well as assist with arts and crafts such as face painting and nature art. The festival will be held on the North Side.

* Pittsburgh AIDS Walk

Sunday, June 11, 7:30-10 am

Volunteers will staff the registration area in Oakland.

* Project Bundle-Up Telethon

Saturday, June 17, 9:30 am-4 pm

or 3:30-8:30 pm Volunteers will be staffing the auction broadcast live from the WTAE-TV studios located off the Parkway East in Forest Hills.
