Nordenberg to be commencement speaker

Photo - NordenbergChancellor and Distinguished Service Professor of Law Mark A. Nordenberg will be the keynote speaker at Pitt’s 2014 commencement ceremony April 27 in the Petersen Events Center.

Nordenberg, who has been chancellor for 19 years, will step down from that position Aug. 1.

Nordenberg joined the law school faculty in 1977. He subsequently served as dean of the school and as interim provost. In 1995, he was elected interim chancellor and in 1996, following a national search, was elected chancellor. He is one of the longest-serving leaders of any major American research university.
