Staff Association Council elects officers

The Staff Association Council (SAC) announced the results of officer elections at its June 14 meeting.

Richard R. Colwell, School of Engineering, was re-elected president; Barbara J. Mowery, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected vice president for steering; Tammeka A. Beattie, Graduate School of Public Health, is the new treasurer, and Maureen A. Jenkins, Katz Graduate School of Business, is the new vice president for communications.

Colwell defeated Linda J. Marts and Mowery out-polled Lydia J. Howard. Beattie and Jenkins ran unopposed.

SAC elections committee chair Betty Homonai reported the results, which she said included 100 percent participation in the voting by SAC members.

Officers are elected for one-year terms, effective at the June meeting. Colwell will be serving his third term as president, which is the maximum under SAC bylaws.
