Unused/expired drug collections set for April 25
Pitt and UPMC are collecting unused, unwanted and expired medications for safe disposal April 25 at various locations.
Prescription medications including both controlled and non-controlled substances as well as non-prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted.
Drugs should be in their original containers with any personal information concealed.
Pitt will be accepting medications 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the University Pharmacy in Nordenberg Hall.
The UPMC collection will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at various UPMC facilities, including:
- Falk Pharmacy, Falk Medical Building, 2nd floor lobby.
- Magee-Womens Hospital main lobby.
- Hillman Cancer Center, ground floor atrium, 5115 Centre Ave., Shadyside.
- Children’s Hospital outpatient pharmacy lobby (in the hospital).
