* Global Links Medical Supplies

Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 am-1 pm

Volunteers again will be working at the Bloomfield office of Global Links, an international aid organization that repackages medical supplies for distribution to countries worldwide.

SIDS Alliance Holiday Gift Wrapping

Saturday, Dec. 13, or Sunday, Dec. 14, 10 am-2 pm, 2-6 pm or 6-10 pm

Volunteers will help to wrap holiday gifts at the Century III Mall to benefit the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Alliance.

* Cherub Tree

Saturday, Dec. 6, and Sunday, Dec. 7, noon-4 pm or 4-8 pm

Community in Action for Peace is a collaborative of over 60 social service agencies that work to promote healthy communities, free of violence and its causes. Pitt volunteers will staff their Cherub Tree at Monroeville Mall.

* Child Advocate Orientation

Tuesday, Dec. 16, noon

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program needs volunteers to serve as advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children in Allegheny County. At an on-campus location, learn how you can participate.

* School for Blind Children Tree Sale

Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, December 14, 11 am-5 pm

Volunteers will be staffing the tree yard at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children in Oakland.

* Hotel Christmas Dinner for Homeless People

Thursday, Dec. 25, 10 am-2 pm

Help Pittsburgh’s four major Downtown hotels offer a holiday dinner to our city’s homeless people by serving guests.

* First Night

Wednesday, Dec. 31, 5-9:30 pm or 9 pm-12:30 am

You can help throw THE First Night party Downtown. Volunteers will serve as site monitors, button checkers, booth staffers, ushers, merry-makers and fire tenders.
