Candidates for other Senate officer positions announced

In addition to choosing a new president, University Senate voters will elect a new vice president and secretary for 1998-99.

For vice president, current Senate secretary Debora A. Rougeux, a University Library System reference archivist/cataloguer, is running against Arlene W. Caggiula, an associate professor of nutrition and epidemiology in the Graduate School of Public Health.

The candidates for secretary are Patricia S. Kolar, director of field education and a faculty member in the School of Social Work, and Douglas P. Metzler, an associate professor in the School of Information Sciences' Department of Information Science and Telecommunications.

Senate ballots, set to be mailed to faculty by early April, also will include candidates for Faculty Assembly. The slate of Assembly candidates has not been finalized yet.
