Monroeville Disney Store Pick-Up

Ongoing weekly, flexible times Monroeville, Murraysville or Wilkins Township residents who commute to the Oakland campus have an ongoing volunteer opportunity. The Disney Store in Monroeville Mall regularly donates surplus goods to a local shelter for battered women and their children. A volunteer is needed to pick-up and deliver 2 or 3 lightweight boxes weekly to an on-campus location.

Daffodil Days

Sunday, March 22, 11 am-2 pm or 2-6 pm Volunteers will be selling daffodils at a North Hills location to benefit the American Cancer Society. Global Links Medical Supplies Tuesday, April 7, 5:30-7:30 pm Volunteers will be working at Global Links in Bloomfield to repackage surplus medical for distribution to needy countries worldwide.

OUTRAGEOUS Bingo Fundraiser

Saturday, April 18, 5:30-8:30 pm or 5:30-10 pm The theme for April’s Outrageous Bingo is Broadway Bingo with half-time entertainment by members of the Civic Light Opera. Join fellow Pitt volunteers at this on-campus location will assist the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force and the Shepherd Wellness Community in this fundraiser.

University Commencement

Sunday, April 26, 11 am-4:30 pm Volunteers will help with regalia and seating.

Marathon Packet Stuffing

Wednesday, April 29, 5:30-7:30 pm Volunteers will help to stuff the packets for the Pittsburgh Marathon runners at an on-campus location.

Art for AIDS Invitation Mailing

Saturday, May 2, 10 am-3 pm Pitt volunteers again will assist the Persad Center in preparing for ART FOR AIDS, Pittsburgh’s premier benefit art auction. Volunteers will be hand addressing and stuffing invitations at an on-campus location.

Pittsburgh Marathon Finish Line

Sunday, May 4, 8 am-1 pm Pitt volunteers will staff the Point State Park finish line.
