LETTERS

To the editor:

Startled by the recent sea change among deans and other prominent University administrators — law, medicine, Office of the General Counsel, and Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business — dumped from their lofty bureaucratic perches, I'm crossing my fingers that David J. Herring — appointed as interim School of Law dean effective July 1 — will not find himself swimming upstream or, worse, a fish out of water.
