* Smoky City Music Festival

Sunday, June 21, 3:30-7:30 pm

Volunteers are need for this 22nd annual celebration of acoustic music and dance to help survey the audience at the Hartwood Acres performance area.

* Project Bundle-Up Telethon

Saturday, June 27, 10:30 am-4 pm or 3:30-8:30 pm

Volunteers will be staffing the auction broadcast live from the WTAE-TV studios located just off the Parkway East in Forest Hills.

* South Side Street Spectacular Opening Parade

Thursday, July 9, 6-7:30 pm

Pitt’s School of Nursing needs lots of volunteers (and their children and grandchildren) to join in the opening parade for the South Side Street Spectacular and march behind the University Pediatrics at South Side banner. Even if you don’t have kids, volunteer to represent Pitt. Deadline for registration is July 1.

* National Veteran’s Wheelchair Games

Friday, July 10, 5:30-10 pm

Volunteers will be assisting disabled veterans as they participate in basketball and quad rugby competitions at a Downtown location. Deadline for registration is July 1.

* School of Nursing at the South Side Street Spectacular

Saturday, July 11, 1-4 pm, 4-8 pm or 8-11 pm

Pitt’s School of Nursing’s University Pediatrics at South Side needs volunteers to staff the Backyard Circus and Health and Safety Wagon for Kids. Deadline for registration is July 1.

* Pittsburgh Blues Festival

Sunday, July 12, noon-3 pm, 2-5:30 pm or 5-9 pm

Be a part of Pittsburgh’s celebration of the blues and of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s premier fundraiser at Station Square. Deadline for registration is July 1.

* Green Harvest

Saturday, July 25, 10 am-2 pm

Volunteers will work at the Carberry Farm in West Deer Township, harvesting and irrigating a variety of vegetables. The harvested vegetables will be distributed through the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
