* Green Harvest

Saturday, July 25, 10 am-2 pm Saturday, Aug. 16, 10 am-2 pm Volunteers will work at the Carberry Farm in West Deer Township, harvesting and irrigating a variety of vegetables for distribution to needy neighbors through the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

* Child Advocate Orientation

Wednesday, Aug. 5, noon-1 pm The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program is looking for volunteers to serve as advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children in Allegheny County. This orientation session will be held on campus.

* Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force

Newsletter Mailing Saturday, Aug. 8, 10 am-2 pm Volunteers will assist the staff of the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force in the preparation of their quarterly newsletter mailing at their East End offices.

* Global Links Medical Supplies

Tuesday, Aug. 11, 5:30-7:30 pm Volunteers will be working at the Bloomfield office of Global Links, an international aid organization that collects and repackages surplus medical supplies for distribution to needy countries worldwide.

* Great Rib Cook Off

Monday, Sept. 7, 10:30 am-4:30 pm or 4-10 pm The Great Rib Cook Off is returning to South Park again this Labor Day. Volunteers are needed to staff this fundraiser that supports free cultural events for Allegheny County residents.
