New book published on Heinz Memorial Chapel

"Heinz Memorial Chapel," the first book about the neo-gothic campus landmark in more than 30 years, has been published by the University.

The 70-page, full-color book features more than 45 photographs by Herb Ferguson of the University Center for Instructional Resources. The brief text by Joan Gaul focuses on the chapel as a product of the 1930s and on the 23 stained glass windows by Charles Connick, including the 391 known figures portrayed in them.

More than three years in the making, the book was produced under the supervision of Patricia Gibbons of Heinz Memorial Chapel and the Department of University Relations. Rick Landesberg of Landesberg Design Associates was the designer and Broudy Printing, the printer.

"Heinz Memorial Chapel" is available in soft cover at the University Book Center or through the Heinz Chapel office. The price is $18.50.
