CHMR now independent corp.
The Center for Hazardous Materials Research (CHMR) is now a nonprofit corporation independent of the University of Pittsburgh Trust.
Founded in 1986 as a trust subsidiary, CHMR employs 50 researchers conducting environmental technical and business projects for industry, government and academia both in the United States and abroad.
The transition to an independent organization will have no impact on CHMR's mission, capabilities, resources or the types of projects it undertakes.
CHMR's business falls into three major categories, education, training and technical assistance related to hazardous materials.
