Staff Association Council’s executive committee for fiscal year 2018 is now complete with the announcement of election winners at the organization’s June meeting.

Tammeka Banks, in the Office of Research, was elected vice president of finance, while Alex Toner, in the University Library System’s Archives Service Center, was chosen as vice president of public relations and Debora Whitfield, in the School of Dental Medicine’s Office of Patient Services, as parliamentarian.

New President Andy Stephany and Executive Vice President Matthew Richardson were effectively elected at SAC’s May meeting when candidates were announced, since each ran unopposed.

The new officers start their two-year terms July 1. The next SAC meeting is July 12 in 102 Benedum Hall.

Pitt Day at Kennywood is July 16

In other SAC news, the website for Pitt Day at Kennywood tickets is now live and Pitt employees are encouraged to purchase tickets online. Only 2,000 tickets for the July 16 event will be available this year, and they usually sell out, SAC officers noted. Ticket prices are $22 for an all-day pass, with special rates for those ages 55 and older ($17) and children two years old and under (free). The ticket price includes lunch at pavilion 5, door prizes, bingo and other activities.
