Pitt establishes two new vanpools

The Pitt Ridesharing office has established two new vanpool service routes for Oakland-bound commuters. One van leaves from Latrobe Shopping Center, arriving in Oakland at 8:30 a.m. and leaving Oakland at 5 p.m., weekdays. A second van originates at the Leechburg Park πn Ride on Route 56 and makes two stops, at the Freeport Exit 17 Park πn Ride lot and at Exit 14, Ridge Road, Tarentum. The latter van arrives in Oakland at 8 a.m. and leaves at 4:30 p.m., weekdays. Ridesharing services are available to all Oakland-bound commuters, regardless of employer. Vanpool riders are eligible for the guaranteed ride home service for emergencies and courtesy parking six times per year. Pitt employees who are full-time riders also are eligible for a quarterly fare discount. For more information, call 624-0687.
