Recognizing excellence
On Dec. 2, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) held its first-ever reception to recognize sophomores who completed at least 30 academic credits with QPAs of 3.25 or better during their freshman year. Beverly Harris-Schenz (standing), CAS associate dean for undergraduate studies, spoke at the ceremony, held in the William Pitt Union Ballroom. More than 340 students, department chairpersons, major advisers, CAS advisers and staff were invited.
