Faculty Assembly Members Elected

Elected recently to Faculty Assembly for 2004-07 were:

Shalini Puri of the English department and Francesca Savoia of French and Italian languages and literatures, representing the Arts and Sciences (A&S) humanities division; the mathematics department’s Juan Manfredi and William Saunders of biological sciences, representing the A&S natural sciences division;
Werner Troesken Jr. of history, representing the A&S social sciences division; John M. Close, representing the School of Dental Medicine; Glenn M. Nelson, education school; John Robert Boston and Luis F. Chaparro, engineering school; Sabina E. Deitrick, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs; Thomas E. Platt, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences; Phillip Bergen, Health Sciences Library System; Michael R. Pinsky, medical school; Scott Weber, nursing school; Susan J. Skledar, pharmacy school; Nancy B. Sussman, Graduate School of Public Health; Catherine G. Greeno, social work school, and James P. Cassaro, University Library System.
Assembly members’ terms begin July 1. Members serve the first year of their three-year terms on Faculty Assembly. During their second and third years, they serve on both the faculty-only Assembly and on Senate Council, which includes faculty, staff, students and administrators.
