Nancy Washington retires

Thirty years after coming to Pitt as a research assistant, Assistant to the Chancellor Nancy Washington retired June 30. She was honored at a reception last month. In addition to serving as assistant to the chancellor (since 1993), she was an assistant professor of clinical epidemiology and family medicine (since 1989) and associate professor of psychology at the Greensburg campus (since 1979). Earlier, she served as an assistant professor of psychology at UPG (1972-79) and as assistant dean of student affairs and director of minority programs at the medical school (1989-1993).
