The advance registration offer is available only to 1999 Pittsburgh marathon and marathon relay runners; it is not available to 5K participants.

After July 31, 1999, the race will be open for entry to the general public.

The 1999 UPMC Health System/City of Pittsburgh Marathon will mark the marathon's 15th anniversary. In addition, it will serve — for the third year in a row — as host to the U.S. Men's National Championship.
