Health & Human Services honors Magee
Magee-Womens Hospital has been designated one of six National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Each center was chosen for the way it integrates health care services with research, education and health care professional training.
"This national recognition is a reaffirmation of our 85-year-old commitment to comprehensive and compassionate care of women and their infants," said Magee President Irma Goertzen. "It is a tribute to the staff of Magee-Womens Hospital for their on-going efforts to improve the quality of life for women and the health status of the Pittsburgh community."
Other national centers are: Allegheny University of Health Sciences, Ohio State University Medical Center, the University of California at San Francisco, Penn and Yale.
