Music on the Edge, Pitt's new music series, is seeking original scores from local composers interested in having their work performed at a two-day event. The event will feature the New York-based Prism Players. Works should be scored for a subset of flute, clarinet, french horn, trombone, percussion, piano, violin, viola, cello, contrabass, soprano and mezzo soprano. Scores, a short biography, tape (if available) and self-addressed stamped envelope should be sent to: Two Evenings of Pittsburgh Premieres, Mathew Rosenblum, 210 Music Building. The deadline for submissions is March 15. No date has been set for the performances.
