UPG prof wins national award
Diane Marsh, a faculty member at Pitt's Greensburg campus (UPG), will sign copies of her new book, "Troubled Journey: Coming to Terms With the Mental Illness of a Sibling or Parent," on July 29 at 4:30 p.m. in UPG's Chambers Hall. Copies of "Troubled Journey" will be available for purchase at the signing. All proceeds will go to UPG's student scholarship fund.
According to Marsh, the book seeks to "help siblings and offspring deal with the catastrophic impact of mental illness on families." Partly for her work on "Troubled Journey," Marsh recently was named the 1997 winner of the Steven V. Logan Award of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
