Lozano, Tobias, Perlman memorial services planned

A memorial service for Eduardo Lozano is set for 10 a.m. today, Sept. 28, in Heinz Chapel. Lozano, who retired in June after 39 years at Pitt, died Aug. 25, 2006. (See Aug. 31 University Times.)

A reception (jackets required) will take place at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association following the service.

A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in Heinz Chapel for Pitt English professor Richard C. Tobias, who was beginning his 49th year as a faculty member here. Tobias died of cancer Sept. 13, 2006. (See Sept. 14 University Times.)

A reception will follow in 501 Cathedral of Learning.

A memorial service for Emeritus University Professor Mark Perlman will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in Heinz Chapel. Perlman, who was among his generation’s most accomplished economists, died May 3, 2006. (See May 11 University Times.)
