UPJ named to central PA top 100 businesses

Pitt-Johnstown has been named one of the “Top 100 Businesses for 2007” by Pennsylvania Business Central. The list features organizations from within the publication’s 16-county coverage area. UPJ is one of only 10 businesses from Cambria County named to the list, long considered a who’s who of regional business. A reception honoring the businesses will be held May 16.

In announcing the list, assistant editor Brian E. Bassett said, “Positive economic development is guaranteed, driven and enhanced by each and every one of these businesses — through products and services manufactured and delivered — and by those entrepreneurs, managers and workers who invest their time and effort in their chosen careers.”

UPJ President Jem Spectar said, “We are honored to have received this outstanding distinction by Pennsylvania Business Central. This recognition reinforces our commitment to developing a more distinctive, explicit and intentional Pitt-Johnstown signature and a first-class educational experience.”
