It’s safe to say that most attendees at staff recognition events aren’t welcomed by clowns with red noses, funny hats and big shoes. At the Graduate School of Public Health, where themed staff events are the norm, guests were greeted by a pair of brightly dressed clowns, then forced to think fast by another who enthusiastically pitched a bag of Cracker Jack to each person entering the Parran Hall auditorium.

The April 11 “Under the Big Top” event included clowns, balloons and carnival foods to complete the circus theme.

Along with warm words and certificates of appreciation, 5-, 10- and 20-year GSPH employees received gifts presented in popcorn bags.
