Global Links Medical Supplies
May 7, 5:30-7:30 pm
Volunteers will work at the Bloomfield offices of Global Links, which collects, repackages and distributes surplus medical supplies world-wide.
Flower Bed Planting
May 10, 9-11 am
Volunteers will plant a flower bed on public property in Point Breeze in this project sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.
International Children’s Festival
May 17 & 18, 9:30 am-1:30 pm or 1-5 pm
The 22nd annual Pittsburgh International Children’s Festival is moving to Oakland. Over 400 volunteers are needed to serve as greeters or face-painters; assist children with crafts; stuff and distribute goodie bags; escort costumed characters, and control traffic.
Prostate Cancer Run & Walk
June 15, 6-10 am
The sixth annual Father’s Day run and walk to benefit prostate cancer education, awareness and early detection needs volunteers to register participants at North Shore Riverfront Park, Heinz Field. Male volunteers will receive free prostate cancer screenings.
