UPT nursing program accredited

Pitt-Titusville’s associate degree nursing program has been accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The achievement indicates that the program has clear and appropriate educational objectives and is working to accomplish them.

The UPT program, implemented in 2005, is designed to be completed over five terms within two years on a full-time basis, with graduates earning an associate of science in nursing. The first class of 18 completed the program last spring. Of them, 89 percent passed their state board exam on the first try, giving UPT the highest pass rate in the region. All graduates were employed within two months of graduation.
