UPB scholarship given in honor of Zippo
Advertising agency Blattner Brunner presented a $1,000 scholarship to Pitt-Bradford last month to honor its client Zippo Manufacturing Co.
The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Pitt-Bradford student.
Presentation of the scholarship award took place in front of Blaisdell Hall, which represents the partnership between Pitt-Bradford and the family of Zippo Manufacturing Co. founder George G. Blaisdell.
In 1995 the Blaisdell family pledged a $1 million challenge gift toward the construction of a communications, arts and technology building.
In appreciation of the family’s generosity and support, Pitt-Bradford named the building Blaisdell Hall.
