Titusville program wins regional award

Pitt’s Titusville campus received an award for its “Kids Night Out” program from the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Mid-Atlantic Region.

NACA links the higher education and entertainment communities in a business and learning partnership, creating educational and business opportunities for student and professional members.

The “Kids Night Out” program, where each month students host events geared to the Titusville community, was selected by the NACA Mid-Atlantic Region as the outstanding civic/service learning program.

The award is presented to a college or university program that demonstrates creativity, innovation and appeal to a diverse body of students.

The award is based on the effective use of available resources; effectiveness of the program; effective evaluation of the program; evidence of an effort to encourage, promote and market the program, and student input in planning and managing the program.
