Four endowments funded at GSPIA

The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) has announced the establishment of four endowments funded from alumni and faculty donations.

The Elizabeth Rossman Student Resource Fund, created by alumna Elizabeth Rossman, will provide financial support to students in GSPIA who are enrolled in internships, with preference given to students whose internships are located in the greater Washington, D.C., area.

The Nigerian Alumni Fund, created by alumnus Mu’Azu Babangida Aliyu will aid students in GSPIA based upon academic achievement and financial need.

The Korean Alumni Fund, created by alumni Ambassador Byong-Hyun Kwon, Suck-Hong Oh, Young-Whan Hahn, Shin-Bok Kim, Yun-Won Hwang, Hyun-Ku Kim and Keun Namkoong, will provide support to students in GSPIA based upon academic achievement and financial need.

The General Roscoe Robinson Jr. Memorial Endowment, created by GSPIA professor Donald Goldstein, will provide support for lectures and other programs that promote discussion and understanding — on campus, in the community and beyond — of key issues related to diversity in public service. The fund honors GSPIA alumnus Robinson, the first African-American four-star Army general.
