U.S. News: Pitt ranks 13th among U.S. publics

Pitt placed 13th among U.S. public universities and 35th among all U.S. universities in U.S. News & World Report’s first World’s Best Colleges and Universities rankings. The University also is listed among the top 100 universities worldwide.

The rankings are based on data from the Times Higher Education-QS Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings, produced in association with QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a network for careers and education that has been publishing world rankings since 2004.

The other institutions in the top 13 public U.S. universities ranking are Michigan, UCLA, UC-Berkeley, Wisconsin-Madison, UC-San Diego, Washington, Texas-Austin, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, UC-Davis and Virginia.
