UPJ scholarship honors advisory board member

Concurrent Technologies Corp. will honor CTC head Daniel R. DeVos by establishing a $50,000 Pitt-Johnstown scholarship endowment, the Daniel R. DeVos Science and Technology Scholarship.

CTC is an independent, nonprofit, applied scientific research and development professional services organization providing management and technology-based solutions to government and industry. Under DeVos’s leadership, the company has grown from 15 to more than 1,400 employees at more than 50 locations across the nation.

The scholarship will support seniors who are majoring in engineering technology, computer science, nursing or some other technology and/or scientific major.

DeVos has served on the UPJ advisory board for two decades. He holds a master’s degree in education/administration from Pitt.
