In Brief: Panel to Discuss Crisis in Social Discourse

Join journalists, academics and experts as they discuss the intersection of technology, communication, and society.

“Social Media and the Crisis in Social Discourse,” presented by the University Honors College, will take place on Wednesday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall’s seventh-floor auditorium.

The following panelists will be speaking:

  • Brian A. Primack, Dean, University Honors College; Director, Center for Research on Media, Technology, and Health; Professor and Bernice L. and Morton S. Lerner Endowed Chair, School of Medicine
  • David J. Hickton, Founding Director, University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security
  • Indira A.R. Lakshmanan, Newmark Chair for Journalism Ethics, Poynter Institute; Foreign Policy Columnist, The Boston Globe
  • Walter S. Mossberg, Columnist and Editor, Personal Technology Journalism
