Alertline allows employees to report workplace issues

The University's hotline, called AlertLine, allows employees to report irregular or troublesome workplace issues.

Employees can call in a report 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the or submit a report online.

Full and part-time faculty, staff and research associates at all of Pitt’s campuses and other off-campus work locations can use AlertLine to report:

  • Suspected improper financial activity

  • Human resources-related matters

  • Research compliance concerns

Other compliance issues that you feel uncomfortable reporting to your supervisor

Employees filing a report are given the option to remain anonymous. Reports are handled by trained independent communications specialists who are not Pitt employees. These individuals ensure that the information is turned over to the appropriate University entity — usually the Office of Human Resources, Department of Internal Audit, Office of Research Conduct and Compliance, Office of Diversity and Inclusion or Office of General Counsel — for follow-up, investigation, and resolution.
