Be Fit Pitt adds weight management program; registration open now for spring semester

Registration is now open for Be Fit Pitt programming starting in the new year.

Classes for faculty and staff run Jan. 6 to April 17 at the Trees Hall Fitness Center, run by Pitt’s Healthy Lifestyle Institute, and at the dance studios in Bellefield Hall and the William Pitt Union. In addition to classes like total body training, yoga, Zumba and more, those you join the Trees Hall center can get a free personalized fitness program from the grad students who staff the center.

New next semester is a weight management program — “Take Control for Weight Control” — open to all faculty and staff. The 12-week program, created by experts in the Healthy Lifestyle Institute, runs Jan. 13 to March 30, from noon to 12:45 p.m. Mondays or Wednesdays at Posvar Hall. The cost is $70 and includes membership at the Fitness Center in Trees Hall.

Other program costs:

  • Regular classes: $55

  • Express classes: $40

  • Fitness Center only: $55

  • Fitness Center in addition to a class: $20

The Trees Hall center is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. The list of classes and registration forms can be found at befitpitt.pitt.edu.
