Bike to campus week planned for Sept. 20-24

Bike to Campus Week is Sept. 20 to 24 this year, and Pitt is partnering with Carnegie Mellon, BikePGH and others to celebrate the third annual event.

The celebration will include in-person and virtual activities meant to welcome new and experiences riders with tips and tricks for biking in Pittsburgh.

Both Pitt and CMU are growing their campus bike cultures — Pitt was named a bronze-level Bike Friendly University and CMU a Silver last year by the League of American Bicyclists. Pitt is also in its third year of a partnership with Pittsburgh’s bike share, Healthy Ride, which now provides all Pitt students employees and students free, unlimited 30-minute bike rides.
