Chancellor’s Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic to Take Place May 2

Save the date for Chancellor Gallagher’s Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic on Wednesday, May 2, from noon until 2 p.m. on Bigelow Boulevard between the Cathedral of Learning and William Pitt Union.

Join Pitt faculty and staff colleagues for a picnic lunch, carnival games, and chances to win great prizes.

Staff Council’s Spring Assembly to Spotlight Staff Empowerment

Staff Council’s annual Staff Spring Assembly will be held at 11:30 a.m. on May 15, 2018, in the O’Hara Student Center.

This year’s theme is “Staff Empowerment,” and will featuring breakout sessions on personal safety, workplace safety and physical and mental health.

Keynote speakers this year will be Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and Audrey Murell, associate dean of the College of Business Administration and director of the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership.

The event includes lunch and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the University. In addition, the recipient of the 2018 Staff Professional Development Award in honor of Ronald W. Frisch, retired associate vice chancellor for Human Resources, will be announced.
