Earth Month Celebration looks at Sustainability in the Arts

Earth Day is April 22, but the Pitt Office of Sustainability and the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation are celebrating all month.

The main event is an Earth Day Celebration, sponsored by the Mascaro Center, focusing on Sustainability in the Arts from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 22 in the William Pitt Union Lower Lounge.  It will look at how sustainability and environmental concerns (and triumphs) impact the creative practices of Pitt faculty.

Speakers include several people from the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences: Tony Balko and Adam Hebert from the Film and Media Studies Program; Aaron Henderson and Delanie Jenkins from the Department of Studio Arts; Eric Moe from the Department of Music; and Elise Ryan from the English department.
