Green Speakeasy will look at collective environmental justice

The first Green Speakeasy of the semester, hosted by the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation, will focus on “Grounded Justice.”

Four women of color environmentalists from the Pittsburgh region will discuss how might we imagine our collective environmental justice futures in Pittsburgh and beyond and will explore the possibilities for interdependent, earth-oriented and radically just ways of being in community and in nature.

Moderators will be Beatrice Dias and Cassie Quigley from the School of Education.

The event, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the University Club, Gold Room, will have light snacks and two complimentary drinks. All faculty, staff and graduate students are welcome to attend. RSVP here.
