Nominations due soon for Staff Council Mentor Award

Nominations are due by Nov. 12 for the Staff Council Mentor Award, which recognizes staff members whose impact reaches beyond their job description.

With the award, Staff Council hopes to shine a light on the scope and depth of what it truly means to “be a mentor” — whether it’s someone who helps you with professional development and networking, or just an ally.

Nominees are required to be benefits-eligible, part-time or full-time professional employees at any of Pitt’s five campuses, who have been employed by the University for a minimum of one consecutive year. Staff members on a performance improvement plan are ineligible.

The award winner will be announced at the Staff Recognition Ceremony in December and will receive tuition compensation for the Certificate in Organizational Leadership and Ethics program offered by the University’s Faculty and Staff Development Program. (An alternative award will be provided if the COLE workshop has been completed.)

Complete the nomination form found here.

The Certificate in Organizational Leadership and Ethics program is a series of workshops that are designed for staff members to maximize their ability to have impact as ethical leaders within their workplace.
