On June 19, Pitt Information Technology merged the University’s two PittNet wi-fi networks — Wireless PittNet and Wireless-PittNet-Fast, according to an announcement on the Pitt IT website.
The combined network uses the familiar Wireless PittNet name. It simplifies the experience of connecting to PittNet wi-fi while delivering the same speed and reliability of the previously separate networks.
After June 19, users should connect to Wireless PittNet on all campuses. If you previously connected to Wireless-PittNet-Fast, Pitt IT recommends you use the “forget network” feature to remove it as an option from your device.
