Registration for Pivio health program open through June 23

Registration is open through June 23 for the next round of the Pivio, the Complete Health Improvement Program.

Pivio is a lifestyle education program that focuses on plant-based eating, physical activity, stress reduction, mindfulness training, and positive psychology. The program helps individuals make positive health changes that can lead to reduced medication use, weight loss, and improved cholesterol and blood glucose levels. Learn more about Pivio and how it works.

Two virtual information session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. June 1 and June 5. The 12-week program is free for all full- and part-time faculty and staff will UPMC Health Plan. Interested participants will meet with a UPMC Health Coach prior to the start of the program for program onboarding and review. 

The program includes 18 remote sessions from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from July 10 to Sept. 28.

Upon completion of the Pivio program, participants will receive:

  • Knowledge and skills to develop long-term healthy habits.

  • 16-week access to Pivio online education materials and resources.

  • 100 wellness points for program completion.

  • Faculty in the union bargaining group can earn up to $100 in Health Incentive Account rewards.
